Replacement vinyl carpeting for dlx
#3
I'm a little confused is it vinyl or carpet your looking for? I went with the vinyl flooring from Rock Auto for my 85 4runner. It's decent for the price not as soft as the original so a little plastic like but good and exlelant fit. It wasn't listed for 85 but was for 84.

I went with the vinyl from ACC. Dont get it off ebay, at least some of the sellers there are selling seconds that don't fit. Let it sit in the sun for a few hours to soften up before installing and it will be a lot easier.

For the the time/effort, why not do carpet? Is it a mud/cleaning thing? That would make sense if you're getting the truck dirty.
My base model '84 came with vinyl. I swapped it for carpet (from ACC) with the thicker "mass backing" and put FatMat sound deadening down first. It made a huge difference in the noice.

So the reason I want vinyl is because I currently have vinyl and do like it better than carpet. The other reason is because I was looking to order extra vinyl yardage for re upholstering my seats. Unfortunately I cant find replacement vinyl in brown.... I might do tan though from ACC
