Replace Bucket seats
I have a 1984 Toyota SR5 pickup. Years ago the bucket seats died and I had a guy put in a used bench seat. I am not sure if was a Toyota bench seat.
I am original owner but until i recently retired did not have time to work on it. I am wondering what type of bucket seats would work in it. I have regular cab.

is it a split bench seat? do you still have the old buckets?
i've been going thru something similar on my 4runner; i got an industrial sewing machine, tore the old seat fabric apart and traced it out, then sewed up new seat fabric, but the foam is badly deteriorated and not repairable on one side.
in the old days we could swap in later model 4runner buckets from a junkyard, maybe have to drill one extra hole, but those are largely gone now.

About 15 years ago I replaced a bench seat in a 1986 2wd regular cab with a pair of Camry bucket seats. Very minor mounting mods were needed. As mentioned, finding a good pair now is going to be a quest. Might as well hunt for a pair of original SR5 buckets IMHO..
