Rebuilt trans (G52) Noise
I just put my freshly rebuilt G52 back it and love it. Shift great, smooth, grips and holds well.
There's a faint metallic tapping noise when the clutch is release (engaged). If I lightly push on the shifter the noise goes away completely. Its almost like the shifter "part" ( don't know exactly) inside is rubbing the gears as there rotating.
It did not make this noise instill I did a little wheeling this afternoon.
Any ideas?

I took the truck in to my trans builder and he said something about the synchro rings ratting around until thrust is applied to the coneshaped piece... not sure of the exact terms but...
He didn't replace the rings BC he said the measure well within spec.
