Just picked this up over the weekend, 1985 4runner with OME springs and shocks. 31x10.50 kumho's and a wab-fab soft top. Plan to upgade the brakes to vented rotors, bumpers, and maybe crossover steering someday. used to post here back in the day when i had my solid axle swapped nissan frontier, used to wheel with yall toyota guys. finally made the change

I definitely think the 86 runner with 4" ifs lift rode a whole lot better on and offroad than any of my 3 straight axle trucks. It did have a heavy ARB bumper on it though.

The 87 4runner I had was also stock, It had more miles and rough miles at that, It rode really smooth though, I also notice that
it would take the curves better than my 85. The only time I notice my 85s
SA is when I get on dirt roads, It likes to bounce around a good bit

Thanks, yes this is the one. These tires have really impressed me. Can't beat them in the muck and they didn't do bad on the rocks either. Thanks for checking the vids out too.

Yeah i knew it was! I was actually looking for your stack but its hidden on the drivers side so i thought i'd ask anyway. Love your truck. Really want a deisel as well. Yours is easiely my favorite truck on youtube. I bet i watch that video at least once a month. That truck is great. I expected your post count to be pretty high, being that you've done so much work. I guess it goes to show that there are a ton of built yota drivers out there that have no idea about the fun we're having on here haha

That is one of the coolest pickups I've seen. I almost did a TDI in mine... Oh well, maybe I can put one in the 40?

Very well built diesel. Good job. I may be PMing you for info...

Steve, its actually on the passenger side. . Not sure if you saw them but I've got about 5 vids from the same day I took this picture. If you didn't already, just Google rides800. That's my YouTube channel. Ya know I haven't had lots of time in the past to post. I do more reading and searching than anything. Used to be on pirate years ago...anyway I'm digging the celebrity status my truck has. Thanks again for the comments.
Rok, thanks.
Dis, I hadn't thought about that. I'll look into it. Thanks!

Hey mudpunisher, I know this is not the thread for this, but how do you like that suspension set-up. I'm on the cusp of buying the same one and have heard and read nothing but good things, but I wanna hear it from as many people as possible before I put my money down. Thanks in advance. Nice truck!

Also, does anyone know what's going on with that crazy angle where the bed and cab meet? My truck has that a little bit. Is it from dead body mount bushings?

Two things. Rust, snow plow mount. Combine those two and you have a perfect doner truck. Bet that poor guy buckled.

oh yea the frame is nearly gone. lol. the last owner patched up lots of stuff over the years, i thinks is was mainly used as a snow plow. not bad for an 85 with only 95k on it..and for only $500
