I agree with the above dude; we need more shots of Pie's ride... especially interior shots; doesn't matter if it looks like crap inside or not.

Well, inspired by positive feedback and nice weather, I took the rig out a snapped a couple of shots yesterday. The trail gear rear bumper is a recent addition. Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

Well starting this spring its my daily driver, I will split the duties between it and my motorcycle. I've only owned it about 8 months. It belonged to a very anal older person who barely drove it at all. It was in stock form. Since I took it over I promised myself I wouldn't expose it to the sand and salt of winter; but once that's gone I will be enjoying it, not hiding it.

There's the latest updates to my side project.... still need to make the deck and fenders for the bed, mount my lights, & give the whole thing a new paint job.......

It's powered by a 231ci buick V6, with an aluminum intake and holley 4 bbl carb, stainless long tube headers, straight pipe exhaust, and a TH350 transmission with Downey offroad t-case adapter.

Wow, that is soooo nice. That paint doesn't look quite as dark as mine, does it look that "bright" in real life?

I was thinking about putting some of those flares on mine to cover the rust (or actually, I'll cut the rust off and was thinking of just folding a new lip or the flares) and I'm so pleased you posted pics of yours so I know just what they'd look like.
Now, as much as I do seriously love your rig, I happy to have in mine the fancy OEM stereo\equalizer; SR5 seats; electric windows and a few other amenities.

How many 4runners have a rear heater? This is my 4th '85 4runner and I've never seen a rear heater before... and it kicks arse! Very hot!

I do plan on some body work this summer. Will change springs for a slight lift, add a winch, dual optimas, compressor and a dingin' selectable front locker if I could find one for a reasonable price.

Every first gen i've owned has had a rear heater, i guess i've never heard of them not having one, but yes, they do kick arse!!
