OE or aftermarket parts

I have a 84 4runner and I would like to do some restoration to it. The only problem is finding certain parts. For example a rear end cap for the rear bumper. The plastic Toyota emblem for the rear tailgate where the keyhole is. Is there a place out there to get these parts? New, used, OE, aftermarket. I havn't looked at any of the local boneyards as I figured that looking for parts for such a rare and old toyota would be like finding a needle in a hay stack. Any suggestions.
Thanks

Girls go to malls to shop, I go to the boneyards". you never know what you can find there. I dont know of any aftermarket places for those parts. I will look around.

Internet. This forum, Marlin Crawler forum, etc. It's where I've found just about everything I've wanted for my '83. And craigslist.

Just start going to the local wrecking yards, pic n pull is also a good place, ive managed to find all the parts ive needed for my 4Runner to get it all back together. There are times when your out looking for parts and you can`t find anything, then there are times when your out looking for parts and you hit the jack pot, just start looking and you will find everything you need eventually.

They had a thread on yotatech but apparently the administrators didn't like it so it was locked.

You can also try www.toyodiy.com/parts/ that'll help you with part numbers, then call you local toyota dealer or go to www.toyotapartsales.com and look up the part, some parts may show available but may already be discontinued.

Start looking at your local wrecking yards, alot of the vehicles from cash for clunkers are starting to show in the yards now, i went to a couple of diferent pic n pulls last weekend and saw lots of 1st and 2nd gen trucks and 4Runners with perfect interiors and bodys, so now is the time to scrape up some extra money and start looking for the things you need.
