Need help removing engine fuse box

1985 4Runner 22RE

On my positive battery cable, there is a small wire that connects to the fuse box underneath (looks like it connects to the 80amp fuse?). That wire snapped and I can either splice it or replace the whole wire. I was thinking that replacing the whole wire would be the best method but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the fuse box in order to get to that wire. I removed the 3x 10mm bolts and the fuse box can now move freely but there are still a couple of wires connected from the wiring harness and this small wire going to the positive terminal. Any advice on removing these wires so that I can see how to go about removing the fuse box in order to fix that wire?

Thanks,
JARED

So I found some great posts on this within this site that indicated that the fuse block pops out downward. Once I got it out, I noticed that the wire that needs to be replaced is crimped to a fuse plate. Apparently this plate is no longer available through Toyota. Looks like I will be testing my dremel/soldering skills. Does anyone know the gauge of this wire?

Thanks,
JARED

I think I ordered one for a different year(1989?). Wire was a bit longer, but fit fine

That's good to know. I ended up purchasing a spool of 8 gauge fusable link wire and soldering it onto the brass plate. I then sealed the solder joints with electrical epoxy. It looks pretty darn close to factory. It's held up very well and doing this fixed my intermittent electrical short that was killing batteries.
