looking for suggestions on a lift..

hey im looking to get like a 5 or 6 maybe 7 inch lift kit for my 85 toyota.. i would like to spend as little money as possible..

chevy springs?
lift kits?
websites and links?

ill take any help

"lift" "85 Toyota" and "As little money as possible" are incompatible.

very well said! i have found out that a 7 inch lift kit cost anywhere from 900 to 2k..

oh well..

Why so high? The reason for my question is you would normally go that high because you want to put really big tires, aka 35"+ on. If you do that then you had better figure in regearing as well.

7" of lift is enough room for 44"(screw 35"s)
If you ARE trying to fit 35"s, 0-4" is what you would need.
If you do a lot of trimming, you can fit 35"s with NO lift.

1st question is.....what do you plan on doing with your truck........mall crawl,rock crawl,mud bogging,pre running.??
2nd you get what you pay for, otherwise do your homework and prepare to your own work.
Lifts are relative to usage and from there relative to vehicle components....meaning if you do one thing prepare to do another to do it right or prepare to have isues. Spend the money and do it right or do your homework and prepare to get busy wrench'n

yea..im looking for a 7 inch lift and then a 2 inch body lift.. im making my 85 p/u into a street queen. 40's,new paint,new gears,already got tint... i have a fully locked 85 4 runner now that ill keep for wheelin
