I Need A Bottle
My next lil project to get my 84 Pu in better shape is to find a windshield washer bottle/reservoir and the pump of course. My choices seem to be used, used or used. However, I came across new ones for the 89-95 trucks at the same price as the used ones.
So my question is has anyone put an 89-95 reservoir and pump in an 84 85 etc? Also, since I don’t have the res in my truck can someone post up a pic of theirs in the truck so I can try to compare them
Thank you

The reservoir is not easy to get a picture of at night but, I have to pull and reset my battery in my 85 tomorrow morning so when I do, I will photoblast it for you and if you text me tomorrow after 8am California time, I'll send the image to your phone.

It has been a long time ago but it seemed I tried to use a 89-95 bottle on an 84-88 and it did not fit. Not completely sure if I am correct on that. As far as pumps, I have used washer pumps off of 04 models and all I had to do was change the connectors.

There are a bunch of 84-86 used ones for around $20 via car-part.com. I may go that route.

Each rolling car is a potential customer/income. It worked out pretty good until other stuff happened.
A bottle from a 90 won't fit and shipping from Fla is gonna bite. But I do have you in mind for parts.

The reason I bought an Xtra-Cab is because the seat goes back far enough unlike a small cab Yota where I'm jammed into the steering wheel and my knees are denting the dash board with the seat back all the way on it's tracks.

I know the feeling - I have to drive kinda bow legged in mine. I rarely see Xtra-Cabs around here.

They are better preserved in Arizona and they are out there if you are persistent in your search.
I paid too much for my Yota in 2014, replaced the engine with a freshly rebuilt eBay engine in 2015 that passed smog with flying colors and just finished the top end overhaul today to pass smog for 2017 because she failed due to garbage Chinese valve guide seals the rebuilder I bought the engine from used during rebuild.

I got a washer reservoir with a pump and want to test the pump before installing and switching out the connector. I checked the wiring diagram and I can’t tell which wire is power and which is ground. I searched here and the closest I came was this -
There is a blue wire and a blue/white, any idea one which is which?
If you find a pump frozen up, I have ran some leads from the pump straight to the battery and reverse polarity every 5 seconds or so and got them freed up that way. 2 of the pumps I have done that to are still working great. That is one of the fixes I found and have it listed there as well.
