Have to pump gas to get the motor to turn over
I have an 85 4runner and just converted it to propane. Before the conversion I had to pump the gas to get her to start. Now that I have propane it takes forever to start and I can't figure it out. Once started it runs like a top and have no problem starting. If it sits for more than a couple hours I'm toast. I've check every stinking vacuum line and done leak test with no success. My motor was a 22re before conversion so there is no reason for having to pump gas with Fuel Injection. I am asuming the problem has just gotten worse with the propane. Help

I am not sure but with a gasoline system you need a idle circuit which lets gasoline vapor pass through the carb or FI when the pedal is closed. So your idle device may need adjusting. Also You may have to floor it as you crank it to let enough Propane through to ignite.

Would it be an injector since it's propane? Damn near every thing is off my engine that had anything to do with fuel injection. Really sucks because I just got my exo cage finished and I can't run it into anything.
