Extended shocks question

I KNOW there are some here that have installed shock hoops, triangulated shock mounts in the rear, and some 14" travel shocks on their pre 86 solid axle Toyota.
So what I am looking for is some experienced input to help me simplify the shock selection. I am interested in the Bilstein 5100's but any shock within range will suffice as far as I am concerned.
I Plan to fab up the hoops modeled after the LCE set that accommodates the 14" travel shock, and I will build a crossmember for the rear. I'm trying to keep this simple. I will fabricate the parts as soon as I have some shocks to mock up, flex and measure, so on and so on.
Any help or part numbers, etc is greatly appreciated. I would just like to stop looking at part numbers and trying to guess.

I can't help, I have 12" Bilstien 5125s. I have hoops up front, and theyre tight to the wheelwell. You'll have to cut the wheelwell out unless you have a massive lift. I'm running 4" of lift and I only have about 3" of up travel on the 12" shocks.

Might just have to contact Bilstein and get some numbers for them. I will have to modify everything else to maximize their range yet keep my tires out of the body.
