Conversion from 4WD to 2WD

I don't use my 'runner for wheeling, as a matter of fact the only time it saw something other than pavement was back in 95 when my family took it out to Reno.

So because of this I've entertained the thought of converting my truck to a 2WD, because I feel the extra weight and moving parts are unnecessary. Will it be a swap of just the suspension+tranny? I know theres a few other things that need to be removed that are crucial to the 4WD functionality, such as the vacuum canister and interior parts. Anything else?

Here is how you convert it:

Install manual locking hubs. Viola. 2wd.

Spending any more than $100 (cost of hubs) would be a waste of time and money.

Thanks for the notice. Got a link to that thread/post?

I also posted a WTT on Craigslist. If anyone can shine light on this then it would be greatly appreciated. For now I'm going to scour the FSM.

bah, I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum. Also a look at the FSM reveals the job to be more work than its worth. Mods feel free to lock and delete this thread.
