clutch release bearing clips

hi i just started putting a marlin crawler clutch kit in my 85 4runner but come to find out i lost the clip for the release bearing. no parts stores in my area have any what should i do im going to try toyota tomorrow but my luck they wont have it just wondering what i can do incase i cant get one has anyone made one up somehow

If you can't find the right parts (but from Toyota I'd say you can), I'd be pretty confident you could make up something to do the job just fine. From manipulating some 1 or 2mm steel or even possibly a piece of wire. After all it only has to hold the thrust bearing to the fork. Unfortunately I can't remember what it looks like so yeah, but I do remember using a parts tray for the job... Lol
