First off, welcome to yotatech. Second, why do you want new leafs? Lift? Fix rear sag? Improved ride?

To my knowledge, the chevy rear leafs require you to relocate the spring hangers.

Some straight bolt on leafs I know of are Downey and Old Man Emu. In addition, you can also consider doing the ZUK mod (do a quick search to find out about it).

btw, it might be a good idea to put some info about your rig in your signature line. It allows other people to provide better answers to questions you post.

Chev springs require basic fabrication. If you dont wheel much i would just leave it stock? Why do you want new springs?

Yes, you do need new spring hangers 11" forward from the stock location, and you need to move (or replace) your rear shackle hanger about 4" back. What I would do if you want to avoid too much fabrication is just get the kit from Sky Manufacturing, drive down to your local welding shop and have them weld on the hangers, then drive home and swap in the chevy springs and last cut off the stock hangers, or just leave em, they're really not in the way. As far as a daily driver setup, I would highly recommend them. I put a set on mt 89 4runner and I could bomb over the biggest railroad tracks, rain gutters, pot holes, etc with much more comfort than when I had a stock set of springs. The OME would also work nice for a DD truck, they just lack the "junkyard" factor that I kinda like.

The chevys are decent springs. I am happy with them, but do have a bit of axle wrap, which is irritating.

Stocks dont flex very well. If you want flex for occasional wheelin... the Old Man Emu's would be sufficient

First question you need to ask yourself is how often do you get into the situation where you need the extra stability of flex? Many think flex is about traction, lockers are what give you traction, flex just helps keep you stable when your climbing over something at a weird angle. If you want off road abilities start with a rear locker

Here we go... So much information to be found on this site and others, and we get another "How about these super cheap, made in china, way over arched WalMat springs" question. C'mon dude, search "procomp" and you'll get your answer, they suck.

If you want new springs get them from a spring company like National or Deaver.
