You know I used to think this was called the bellhousing somebody said it I was way off. I don't even know what the official name of this is I think it's like a throttle linkage or something,





can somebody just check and see if I've hooked it up right

I think the term you are referring to / looking for is bell crank https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellcrank

If you press on the gas pedal all the way down and the throttle opens all the way open it is just about right.

There should be a light spring that goes from the back of the crank toward the valve cover. Two small holes to attach too.
And the clips slip into the slots on the end of the arms.
