Can anyone identify these springs?

2.5" lift springs for an 85 rig. I know the photo is small, but there is a set of these for sale somewhere in my area. $75 for the set. Now I don't know if that means $75 for the rear and $75 for the front making them $150 for the entire lot, but even at $75 for the rear, I might hit this guy up. But he doesn't know what brand etc they are. Which is confusing since he said they are 2.5" lift springs. Unless he is just giving the 2.5" spring width. Those shackles themselves look like NWOR's. I have asked the guy if they are factory length or not. So as of right now I don't know if they are OEM length or not.

P.S. Stupid question, but is the front springs the same as the rear springs on these trucks?

to me set implies all 4.
they aren't flat so I think they are 2.5" lift springs...

Toyota springs on a Jeep Forum..go figure

front springs are not the same...Search Rears up Front and you will find that rear springs move the front axle forward...

ocdropzone thanks. Thought they were different. That photo is on a jeep forum, but the thread is on somewhere else not vehicle related. In 1 or two other threads the guy was trying to sell these while back sometime in NOV and said they were 2" springs, came from a parts truck. So I am not sure what these are 2.5" wide and 2' lift, or 2.5" lift and obviously we all know they are 2.5" wide. I am almost certain of that at least up to 1988.

"factory length, 2.5" of lift." Did not answer if they shackles were stock length or extended or greasable yet.

I am almost certain the 85 rear springs will work w/o modification on the 87's right? Noob question again yeah I know. Forgive me for not researching enough. Kinda don't want these to get away, cus I think it's a good deal.

Worth picking up for the $75 for the rear set alone? 2 1/2 hour drive for them as well. I'd pick up the front set, but don't think I can sell them by themselves.

Even if they were slightly wore out, the guy said they were never wheeled and they have to be better than my saggy butt flat arse springs on their overloads.

And absolutely no plans to SAS either so no comments to SAS it. I know how you guys are. haha

You might be able to sell the fronts by themselves...if shipping wouldn't kill the deal for me. I'm looking for the best or at least an acceptable way to match the Chevy 63's I have waiting to put on the rear of my '83.

And, to actually be helpful to you, from 4x4connection the rear OME part number for rear of ifs trucks '86-'88 is CS009R, which is the same as the '79-'85 part number for the rear.

the 63's I wanna say give almost a 4" lift. Now stacking and making your own leaf pack for the front might be a possibility.

Shipping to cali might kill me, I have no clue as to how much it would cost me to ship them. Another thing is, if these springs are flatter than what me or ocdropzone think they are, I would feel bad about selling something to someone else as well not knowing the condition or history on something.

And the OME part numbers is what I was looking at too. Thanks.

I think my 63's ended up coming from some place in Minnesota, and they were $20 and $70 shipping. Those springs are about 150 lbs for the set, too.

Also, I have another set of front springs from an '84 sitting around here, and all the leaves, even disassembled, are almost completely flat, so those are lift springs. Only 2" springs I know of are OME though, and those don't really look like em. No flat spot where the axle is s'posed to mount.

yeah the guy confirmed they were 2.5" lift spring not just 2.5" wide. Not sure if he don't know what manufacture they are how he came up with the 2.5" though. Maybe going off where the ride height on a stock truck was to what his parts truck was sitting and maybe they were 3" springs and sagged down to 2.5" which is understandable.

I haven't researched alot on these things, cus I was pretty much set on going with the OME rears, but this deal is pretty good I think.

Does seem like a good deal, even if you have no need for the fronts. I would jump on it man.

Edit, I do recall while shopping for rear spring they are listed as the same up to 1988.

rememebr picking up the fronts will cost me another $75, and I am not sure if the guy is including the shackles or not yet.

Is it a package only deal? If he is willing to sell the rear only then just buy what you need. Trying to flip the fronts for a profit would likely be more of a pain than it is worth.

yeah, I think he was originally selling the same set of 4 for 200, now he has em for $75 for a pair. I thought the same thing about selling the front only.

Oh, that's kind of weird he's selling them separate front/back. In that case, I guess I'm not interested in the fronts. I doubt it'd be worth shipping out here. Might be just as much for me to get something new to match. For $75 you could at least mix and match what's there for a good ride height and flex, even with the stock shackles.

ok more info from the seller. he said they are 4 leaf w/ military wrap and if it matters, orange bushings. Obviously from the photo no true overload leaf. And was going off what the guy who he bought a roller from that the springs were 2.5" inch lift springs. He isn't sure how much longer if any the shackles are.

Just grab the rears and go with it...either way it's better than what you got. New are at least $150.00 I've had a shop quote me $250.00 per side for factory springs. Me I'll be going with 63 Chevy when I go that route. I can find them for under $100.00 for the pair and a kit with all 4 hangers and 2 shackles was about $150.00 If I recall. I'd like the bit of height and I need the HD for hauling.

If you can get the front for cheep get them as well but at least get the rears!

yeah I am definitely gonna take the rears. Maybe once I get them in my hands I can identify them a little better. Hopefully combined with the shackels which will be included, they don't give me much more than 3" lift. I will crank the torsions a little to level me out, but might be raked a little for the time being. Who knows maybe not with the weight I have in the bed. hahaha. Only thing I will have to figure out, is if and how I am gonna get around the fact I have no bumpstops. I don't know if I am gonna run with them at all or not.

Seeing as though the guy isn't a toy head, he really has no clue on the springs. I don't blame him though really. He was gonna build a buggy with the toy axles with no intentions on using the springs. But ended up using 1 ton non-toy axles instead because he likes his right foot more than he thought and running I think 38's well......

Keep an eye out for BJ Spacers...I wouldn't crank the T-bars. Your ride will really stiffin up. You should be able to find used spacers for about $50.00

haha that guy, $60 bucks my butt, it's more like $67 if I want the bolts. Still cheaper though, but it burns me when people do that. His ad is hard to read as well. Not sure about the stacking spacers though.
