the blue bomb is finally street legal
Ok guys been a member here just a post here and there but Im happy as a puppy dog with two peters as of this weekend. Got the blue bomb all together and legal and overall I likie. Its an 85 ext cab. I put a rebuilt engine in it, a weber 34/34 (still got some bugs to work out), nwor header (blew the gasket in under half an hour made one from scratch and seems to be holding), removed all emission and vacuum lines (looks clean), installed trail gear hysteer (the best thing that imho can be done it doesnt hunt and wonder cause of the drag link), have 7in of lift in the front and 6in in the back (I think it came out to about 9in overall), nitro 8000 shocks (boing)... actually no boing, and last but most important stainless brake lines. I still have some fine tuning but its drivable. With 31in tires i can take off in second gear.

Lol?
It's a solex carb, which is a respectable brand that's been around since before weber.. (Solex 1905, weber 1923).
The only thing wrong with the Weber Solex 34/34 is that it's harder to find jets.
Just a rebadged solex.
Honestly, if the thing runs then he shouldn't have any problems. If he was moving from maybe 3000 above sea level to like 8000 in a day, then yeah hed need to rejet his carb richer..
But imho, the aisin stock carb is the best carb you're going to get on a 22R.

BTW just a work of advice in my opinion lifting a toyota is bad if you ever want to have kids. Im pretty sure this thing has beat me sterile. Ive pissed blood for the third day in a row but its so fun to drive. lol
