I am going to get an open 3rd with 5.29's and a rear 3rd with 5.29's and detroit, and shackles F/R sent to my house for 1600. Gears, lockers, and install cost more than that. Take into acount that I can probably sell my factory 3rds for 50-60 bucks total and thats a good price, IMO.

But, as always, to each their own. I think the price of the complete 3rds works out better than buying seperate and putting them together.

why do you want to go with an open front diff? eventually youll want to be locked so might as well do it once and be done. and as for marlin being high priced i checked around and would gladly pay for marlins quality.

 

just forget about the price and order it. youll think of a way to make the money back

 

I need to go open for now, until I have the money for an ARB, tougher axles, longs...etc, etc.

The locker would be the first in a long list of things needed.

Locked front end will come my way when i get a new d.d. for the winter and i can afford da longs and hydro assist.

heres the bumper that was suppose to come with the 3rds. got it installed last week.
