air in brake line?

'85 4X4. 22R
Brakes work good sometimes and sometimes not. Sometimes need 2 pumps to get brakes. Bleeding the lines with a vacuum bleeder and on the left front am getting never ending air bubbles. After bleeding a pint of fluid still getting never ending bubbles. No sign of leaking fluid. Not getting air like this when bleeding the other wheels. Guessing there is air leak in that wheel cylinder and nothing to do with the MC.
Any comments appreciated.

Forgot to say the calipers have 40K miles on.

After more inspection I still see no leaks in that area at all. I read somewhere a caliper can degrade to where it does not leak fluid but does allow air in the line. Anyone got experience with this?
Thanks.

The bleeder could be letting air in around the threads. Try putting a small amount of grease around the bleeder near the threads and see if the air bubbles stop.

Thanks. I'll give that a try, but the amount of air coming through is unreal. Is as much air as fluid. Seems like too much for a bleeder leak.

No luck with the grease trick. I removed the brake line fitting on the caliper and put my vacuum bleeder on it. Got pure brake fluid--no air at all, so the problem must be with the caliper somehow. Makes no sense to me, but guess I got to get new calipers.

Loose wheel bearings will cause the same issue.

quick update--my wheel bearings were a little loose, one of the brake pads was broken. Replaced calipers, pads and packed wheel bearings, installed new master cylinder and the problems went away. I got solid reliable brakes every time now, but not extreme in grabbling. Seems most of the braking coming from the front. Had the LSPV in the up position for years and wiggled it alot during bleeding. Will do another bleeding someday. A new LSPV would probably make a difference but for now I feel safe driving it.
That grease trick on the bleeders was needed on the new calipers. With a vacuum bleeder does not take much to suck air at the bleeder fitting.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
