90 pickup stuttering

I'm back! Long time since I've been on this forum....

My 90 (22re) pickup has been running poorly. It began suddenly and I barely made it home after picking up a table saw. Idles "OK," but when opening the throttle it stutters and backfires; complete lack of power and it is not driveable

So far...
- New plugs, wires, cap and rotor
- Timing verified
- Replaced fuel filter
- The battery came loose (bungee broke), the connectors were loose, and I replaced it as it was bad. I was hopeful, but that didn't solve the problem.
- Replaced the fuel injectors before all this, have maybe 200 miles on them.
- I checked for vacuum leaks, found one but fixing it didn't change anything.

I built the rig from the frame 16 years ago. Some possibly relevant upgrades:

- Header and flowmaster muffler
- Emissions removed and blocked off.
- Dual row timing chain and "upgraded" water and oil pumps
- LCE stage 1 that included larger throttle body
- Engnbldr cam
- MSD ignition module and coil

What should I look at next? Alternator, ignition coil? I'm tired of chasing this around, and I'm officially ready to ask for help.

Thanks!
Ridge

Two things that immediately spring to mind are fuel pump and throttle position sensor. You have a timing chain, so check it didn't jump time.
