My buddy has an 85 4Runner that currently has a 2" blocks in the rear with nothing up front and is sitting on 33s. He picked up some used 3" superlift springs from a friend on the cheap. His goal is to get around 4-5" of lift out of his truck to easily fit 35s. He wants to run Bilstein 5125 shocks as well. We are kinda noobs to solid axles, so we want to make sure he gets everything he needs.

What he is currently planning on is taking the 2" rear block out, removing a leaf from the rear springs to give them 3 leafs each (due to ty flex and ride with 4 leafs), installing the springs, and installing Marlin Crawler 6" shackles front and rear. Hopefully this will yield around 5" of level lift? Any other parts he will need? Please note that the superlift springs are just the springs themselves, nothing else.

Also he wants to get Bilstein 5125 shocks. Will he need to get a Marlin Crawler shock hoop kit? Which length shocks should he get (10, 12, or 14)? He wants the best flex possible. Any other tips or advice would be mucho appreciated!

 

I dont know much but read alot . so that said I think 6"eye to eye shackle is about 2" cuz I have some in the rear , and if you have 3" leaf lift you got like 5" . You might be able to run 35's .
I have 2" body lift and run 33's , So three more inches and you probably could . from what I've read on here and seen 5-6 is about the right lift . Do some searches
