Ok I have an 85 4runner auto I found he dimmer switch from the box of parts that the guy left in the back of the 4runner. I hook it back up and everytime I turn the dimmer switch up for the dash lights the rear window rolls down.

Anyone know anything about this??? Thank you

 

Might try unplugging the front switch for the rear window, perhaps it is wired up incorrectly. If that stops the problem, then check into that:

the rear windows on first gens are disasters. that link roger provided is your best bet. good luck.

 

Ok I unhooked the front switch and now it wont go up or down with the dimmer switch. So I think the switch my be bad?
