alright so I have a pretty simple question I guess I just picked up an 85 4 runner for 700$ with a bad rod knock but it came with another engine thats good so I was alright with that, well i have in the last week sucessfully siezed the engine that was in the truck cruising at about 30mph. the engine that came in the back of the runner is out of an 87 pickup. and looking at the two engines the 87 has a few more sensors and vacuum lines on the valve cover and some extra vacuum lines on the intake. I have the complete wiring harness for the 87 motor all the way to where it plugs into the ecu, now my question is do I need to swap all the intake, wiring and, vacuum assemblies from the 85 motor onto the 87 for it to work properly with my 85 ecu? or will the 87 motor plug into my 85 ecu and be just fine?
