Exclamation '84 22r Issues

Motor misses at idle, and occasionally will miss or hesitate at speed, any gear, any speed, causing whole truck to jerk. If I feather the throttle I can gain speed -to a point- with slight hesitation. But if I try to give it throttle (about half petal or more) motor cuts in and out. I just bought the 4runner, and it seems to have new plugs and wires. The vacuum lines seem to be in order as well. Im not sure what to look at to fix this. It doesn't always do it, it seems worse after the truck has warmed up. Also, I was thinking of a motor swap to a Chevy 305, but was wanting advice on how to complete the swap if I decided to. I know I will need simple things like new motor mounts and electric fans to help make it fit, but was wonder if I would need a new tranny, or if I could bolt it up to the Toyota tans as is or with some type of special bell housing. Any help would be appreciated...

I wanna say it's a timing issue. Although it ALWAYS happens when the truck warms up. I've had to replace some radiator hoses and water pump seal recently (someone must have had straight antifreeze in it) and a complete tune-up (plugs, wires, cap & button, oil & filter, air filter, and even the wiper blades ). I've ran about half a tank thru it with sea-foam and dry gas in it and the miss and sputtering still persists. The sputtering doesn't happen til shes warm though... I'm gonna pull everything and check the timing tomorrow morning. Hopefully I can make some progress with it so I won't have to swap motors now and can wait until I figure out EVERYTHING that will need done to do so. Wish me luck!
