22re headgasket i'm lost.
Well i got the nerve to start tearing apart the motor to replace the head gasket. i'm got it all taken apart mostly to pull the head. i have to replace the exhaust manifold and took the throttle body chamber off. with all the headbotls and rocker assembly off. still nothing.
i'm completely over my head now. any help you guy's can give me would be great thanks.

Is the head itself just not coming off? If not, be sure you remove the little 12mm bolt that sits in the pool of oil above the timing cover on the front of the engine. Otherwise, its time to get the BFH and use a little force to get it off.

Yep, don't forget the one bolt up front:

this is what happens when you don't remove that hidden bolt & try to force the cover off with the BFH....previous owner said ASE mech's did all his work.....uh-huh, sure they did....:pat: I can hear it now, "sh*%!! Quick, just glue it back together with RTV, he'll never know!!"
