22re Cylinder Head Block / Bypass - Whats it called?
Hey Guys-
I need help identifying a part on my '85 22re Cylinder Head. This is on the rear of the Cylinder Head:
I'm really trying to figure out what its called so I can figure out the proper way to seal it back up and the proper torque for it (I removed it from my old head). I'm assuming I can just use some Water Pump Sealant since it appears to be some sort of coolant bypass, but wanted to make sure.
Thanks!

Yup, doin' mine now and it isn't even mentioned in the FSM, but there is a diagram of it in the page 63, # 10 photo in regard to the air injection manifold, which I think is the pipe bolted to it.
The Chilton's manual does call it a Cylinder Head Rear Plate.
I can't find a torque spec on it anywhere, Google actually lead me back to this site which is where I usualy look anyway!

In the FSM, there are "default" torque specs for fasteners based on size, thread, and type. I used these torques for setting mine. Memory is telling me it was something like 13 ft-lbs, but I'd have to look again.
