so will you still be getting a new head?

 

yeah... buying a new head and ordering a rebuild kit... going to drop the block off at the local machine shop to get taken care of... i hope i can get her togather in the next 2 weeks...

 

I'd say pressure test, compression test, an look at your spark plugs while they're out on that one. It could jus be smoking cause its cold. Whats the weather there like right now? I wouldnt hurt to do the head gasket anyways though if you got the money and know how. Oh and dont run dexcool cause that eats your engine from the inside out.

haha...its all good... i dont really want to spend the extra money... but im thinking i might as well do it all at once... i plan on keeping the runner a long time and need it to be reliable...

just droped off the motor... $1200 to be rebuilt with a brand new head... i feel that its a good deal... just gotta wait about a week or so till i get it back

well engine is done!!!!!!!....... ill post some pics soon.... think im going to do a tranny swap and put in a stick..... its a dog with the auto.... going to get some gears after the holidays...
