looking for a part number for a fuel line that connects the fuel pump hanger to the metal line on the body of a 1985 pickup 4x4 22re.
Seems all parts stores are clueless unless you give them a part number

 

Of course they are. Just measure the outside diameter of the metal line & that will give you a close approximation of what the inside diameter of the rubber fuel line should be. Then go back to the parts store & tell them you need whatever feet of fuel line you need in that size. Nearly all bulk fuel line you can get in parts stores these days are rated for fuel pressures for EFI systems and are also formulated to resist deterioration from Ethanol blended fuels. Other tip - If you have one near you try Auto Zone, as they usually have metric size fuel hose that will fit better than the regular SAE inch fraction sizes. Either will work as long as you get it close & make sure your hose clamps are tight.
