1985 4x4 pickup shifting into overdrive too early

1985 4x4 pickup shifting into overdrive too early
My son’s truck shifts into overdrive immediately after going into 3rd. We have changed the TPS and it’s in spec. I’m not sure what else to check.
I think the shift solenoids are working because it goes into every gear, it only stays in 3rd briefly before going into OD. And it will downshift from OD to 3rd but right back into OD again.
Any ideas?
