1985 4 runner / cross memeber options

Who has the best deal on a replacement cross member ?
Cost ? Links ?

I lloked at my stock cross member and it hangs down 3" further than it has too.

I tried to search and came up with nothing.

Check out www.frontrangeoffroadfab.com, www.Budbuilt.com, www.Trail-Gear.com, www.Marlincrawler.com.
Personally, I think Budbuilts is the best, it is inexpensive, not hard to install, low profile, and it comes with the crossmember AND a skidplate.

I'm not going start a large fight over this but...

Budbuilt and Marlin are made by the same person. T-Gs is a copy of this person's crossmember and has fitment issues. I really like FROF but causes vibs.

Also it has not come out in the open yet but Bud is prototyping a new crossmember. Contact him for more info.

Budbuilt and Marlin's are made by the same person? Seems odd to me since Marlin's and T-G's are identical and both based on Bud's design. I'd be curious to hear Bud's thoughts.

All-Pro also has a crossmember that many like. I have one on my 4Runner that the previous owner modified to work w/ the R150/Marlin adapter/dual case combo.

I've had the FROF crossmember in for over 6 years now and no vibration issues. I do run the original rubber bushings plus chained OEM motor mounts. I raised both ends of the drivetrain 2" when I installed the crossmember. I would suspect any vibration you are feeling is due to something else and perhaps is being transmitted by the stiffer x-member to the frame and body, but I doubt the x-member is the cause by itself.

Call Bud and talk to him..The best advice I can give you. I have..

Hey Roger do you have Brian's skids too? I have heard different things from different people on vibs . It can't be any worse than the mounts I have from Rockstomper.

Crossmember and skid plate from FROF:

Poly motor mounts will cause vibration, most folks just run one of them, on the driver's side. OEM mount on the other side. That is what I plan to do some day, I have one of LC's poly motor mounts.
