hello everybody, I just bought a pickup 4x4 and so far I love the truck. this is what I did to it next day after I bought it : complete tune up , new carb , new front brakes , fixed font axle seal. all I need now is to upgrade my shocks and get new tires .... what do you guys recommend as far as shocks go ? I do a lot of highway driving. it eventually I want to try her off road manners. also for tires , I am looking at bfg all terrains but like how the mud terrains look. please any reccomendation would be helpfull. thanks everybody for your input.

WOW! That truck is in really good shape for an 84. Get the KM2s!!

thanks for the positive replies ... yeah the truck has clean title and pretty clean body . no rust on frame interior dash is perfect . I'll post pcs later . but I was thinking km2 as well .. but glad to part of the community I want to try her out on some trails when I get the new tires and shocks ... as far as the vw bus goes , it's my dads , that's his weekend toy (2265cc turbo )

Nice truck! Never seen those type of decals on 84-85s before, thought those were only for 86+.

I have the blocky sr5 ones like these (same as mine, but red) but I like yours better lol.

thanks guys !!! the floor is really heavy gauge plastic. easy clean up and looks great. previous owner really took care of this truck. I need shocks any suggestions ?! as far as I tires , I am going to save up and get the km2!!

I think I need a new head , truck burns oil it there is no oil leak or white smoke while driving . really bummed ...

 

well rebuilt the front knuckles and front brakes ... still saving for km2's and black wheels and some bilstiens .. then I can take her off road !
