when radiator half full water drains out oil pan drain plug
Alright my buddy did a head gasket on his(well mine)81 pickup(22r) after he got everything back together and tryed to put water in the rad(with no oil in motor and oil drain plug out)it came out of the oil drain plug. Could not having the head shaved cause this?
also he said his step dad asked someone about it and the guy said the motor might need to crank over a little bit to move something to block the water is this correct?
thanks Cody

... is his timing chain cover good?
that'd make the water come out the oil drain plug.
if his head wasnt warped it wouldnt cause any problems..
chances are, when he did the HG, he didn't change the tchain cover. and i don't recall you doing a tchain swap thread when/if you did it. so my guess is that the HG didnt actually blow, the chain cover has a mondo hole in it.
