What Are These Wires For?

Was working on my 82 Pick up a little bit this past Saturday and I found a few wires that had been snipped.

I'm hoping someone can tell me what the heck these are for? From there I can figure out how to go about hooking them up again.

Those are fusible links that power the headlights, ad other electrical things on the truck. They hook up to the positive battery post . That is the green and red wires and the blue wire. I think the blue wire is not fusible link wire might ought to repl. that one.

I'm also hearing they are for thermo sensors. I will poke around tomorrow and take more pics.

I think there is only one fusible link in that bunch...the whitish one. some of those might be for emissions crap to.

Canadian and Federal (I think) 82 4wd models really didn't have much in the way of emissions. I'm gonna look at it more tonight.

Those are NOT fuseable links. they are factory wiring connectors that connect the wiring harness to various sensors/emissions crap on the engine. Of the top of my head im not sure exactly which goes where, but on my 84 I am in the process of removing all of them after converting to a weber carb. Check sensors on that side of the engine such as your temp sensors and oil pressure sender to see if they are hooked up. Its not uncommon for the wires to shear off right by the connector as they get old.

They snipped ones are not for emissions.
I know what they are for now and they are hooked up again.

Im having the same problem with my wiring, bought the truck from a guy who tore it down to do the frame but never got around to it, so ive been peicing it back together and im stuck at the same wires. Theres also another white-ish colored one with a ring terminal on the end over on the drivers side that im not sure about.

Heres pics of the wires..

Green + red, missing connecter on gray wire? No idea on these

Yellow + Black, and another connector thats kinda melted but is usable, no idea on these.

In this pic im holding a peice of wire with a spade connecter, the previous owner put a tag on it that says "To block by fuel pump" Im thinking its connects to the black wire that runs along sidethe carb?

This one is over on the drivers side.. possible goes to the alternator? No idea really, its got some heat protective stuff on it and its black.

I just picked up a new harness from a local yota place and the same wires where snipped as what's snipped on my current harness, he said run them to the battery.
