I looked at your pics again and the interior is immaculate...willing to share how you painted the interior plastic especially the clean steering wheel?

thanks

Hey Guys, well here a few pics of the updated and final interior... Note the original carpet, door panels, kick panels, interior paint, headliner and original dash... finding the parts was harder than the work...the interior is completely painted including the steering wheel.. The only piece left unpainted was the dash. Hope all your projects are going well. tony..

Great looking truck! I hope to have mine looking as good in a few months. Are those the original seats?

That does bring a smile to my face. Seeing you did the work, that is something to be proud of. Great work.

Yes, the seats are original... The only stuff aftermarket are the floor-mats, roll-bar, nerf-bars, grill-guard, bumper, off-road lights and the radiator, it's off a V-6 motor...I can always take it off if need be, but I like that vintage aftermarket equipment. Those pieces are getting hard to find as well.
Other than that I've been pretty anal "keepin it real."

I love the look of a resto truck. You can tell it was done with love and care.

Hey Buddy I don't know where the radiator came from. Bought it with the truck. But it sure works wonders over the grapevine during the summer months..

I like those black mirrors, did they come like that? Since my truck doesn't have chrome bumpers, I'm thinking of making mine black. BTW, how do you like the Ranchos?

That was my thinking when I painted them black.. I didn't do the chrome package so I ended up painting them black. They were anodized originally. I have a catalog from '83 and there are several photos of these "western style" windows in glossy black. Over the years I've only seen them anodized though. These windows were a dealer add-on so I'm sure you could get them in black...BTW I love these windows compared to the small plastic sport windows, great sight lines especially with a load...

Ranchos are stiff, but with a SFA, everything is.... just the way I like it... I had an '82 for many years with stock shocks, definitely stiffer. That's my only reference to compare.
