Rims question

I've been told that these rims 1989-1993 won't fit on my 1982 Toyota
Anybody try these ....it seem that it won't fit in front only ??!!

factory back spacing for first generation was about 3.5" IFS I think is about 4.5. I bought 1.5 spidertrax wheel spacers for all 4 corners and am now running 15x7 chrome steelies off a 1996 T100 4wd. They look Great! Spidertrax is made in USA.

Not sure about those wheels specifically, but IFS steelies (86-early 90's) have more backspacing than the otherwise identical SFA steelies (79-85). The front suspensions on IFS trucks are wider from hub face to hub face, so the wheels and rear axle were changed to keep the overall track widths the same. I imagine this applies to factory alloy wheels like the one you're asking about, as well as the steelies.

With V6 brake calipers, IFS steelies (or any other wheel with similar dimensions) do not fit the front axle. I tried. With stock calipers, probably not either.
