Rear Winch?
Anyone have rear winch on their rig?
I've got to redo the bed that's on my truck as it's currently just some metal and wood slapped together and I really don't dig the wood look. I've searched on a few forums and I'm doodling up design ideas for the new flat/tube bed. Something similar to the All-Pro kit but with some changes.
Then the idea of adding a rear winch popped into my head. I'm just trying to figure out how to mount it.
Could I just bolt it to the bed itself with some re-enforcement under the bed? Bed will be constructed of 1/4" Diamond plate and 1.75 .120 wall DOM.
Or should I do some sort of cross member of sorts that ties into the frame and mount the winch to that?

I don't like the multimounts personally.
Having something sticking out the back in a hitch is just destorying my departure angle. I don't want to have to lug a winch to the back when I need to pull myself out.
Twisted - Thanks, I'm gonna have to look at some pictures and draw some designs up. I'll post what I come up with.
