Rear Brake Upgrade
Im runnin a 1980 Hi Lux fitted with a 253 v8. Any body got any ideas on a Rear Brake upgrade. It has the standard Drum set up on the rear. Has anyone ever done a Disc Brake conversion onto the rear of one of these old girls?

Harry,
Welcome to YT.
Numerous kits and threads on rear disc brake upgrades on here and the other Toyota forums.
I have a FROR full floater with OEM rear disc brakes and have had an All Pro kit too.

On the cheaper side of that, you could also swap in an IFS rear axle. The brakes, though still drums, are bigger, and you get an axle that's 3" wider. Just remember to grab the back half of the parking brake cable, it's longer too.
