Radiator sending fluid to overflow
I recently got an 81 pickup lifted on 38's with a 22re head and a 22r block carburated. Has a new rad and thermostat and waterpump.
The problem I am having is, the temp fluctuates from 180-205 and graduLly gets hotter cause it slowly sends all the coolant into the overflow bottle which overflows all over my tire cant figure it out. It has good heat in the heater and I don't hear air in the core when I start it. I burped it the best I can a few times

Do you have the fan shroud in place ?, if not the fan won`t draw the air through the radiator. Also check the fan clutch, if it has a spring on the front of it make sure its clean and not covered in mud and dirt. Make sure the fan clutch isn`t leaking oil, if it is then its bad and needs to be replaced.

I had the same problem. Was the head gasget. Pushing air into the cooling system, pushing coolant out the overflow hose onto my driver-front tire. No oil/coolant mix, no burning oil or coolant. Was just a small burnt spot on the head gasget at #3 cylander adjacent to a coolant passage.

To check, let engine cool down, take radiator cap off, start engine. If you you get more splashing than is caused by engine vibration = bad headgasket
Best of luck.

just got my first 93 4runner, so know nothing here. it emptied an entire water pump in one 15 minute run, no hard starts no smoke no other leaks but i have been noticing a slow drip of clear fluid, is this the same problem?

I think I have the same problem. I keep having to put more water in the radiator, but I never see if leaking out. Now I can hear hear air through the stock carb and then when I remove the rad. cap, the air noise through the carb stops. The radiator has crap all in it, so it looks like I'll be spending some time under the hood.
