onw wire O2 Sensor

My o2 sensor has one wire and a black and white wire come out of the cab. It's an 82 and I just failed emissions. My CO was way off and I'm sure it's a combination of things but I know I need to hook up the O2 sensor corectly.

Any info on which wire is ground or what would help. Thanks.

One wire is for the sensor signal and one for ground. No ground wire on the sensor, but just connect the ground wire to something grounded or to a shield on a shielded cable, that is how my '85 is wired:

Thanks,
I got smart and tested for continuity. And It still smells rich. If I advance the ignition will that make it run leaner? There is an after market cam in the head that I used, it's an LC street performer cam, what should the timing be set at? I have the float and idle mixture set well enough that it shouldn't be that rich. I appreciate the help.
