Ignition Advise?

Hey Guys
I just found this group. Who would guess there were other fans of old truck who also had computers? Hee heeheheh

Well, I just wend dead.
Travelling along to the sewer plant to see my bud Dave, and from purring to stone dead in one instant.
It appears everything to do with the ignition is simply gone. I still have lights and flashers and domelight, the things that are wired direct, but everything that goes through the ignition switch is dead.

Dave towed me home with the sewer dept truck.
Its still hot from running. So I am basically stalling around since its close to 100 degrees outside and a hot truck doesn't make for a comfy atmosphere.

Meanwhile, thought I might share my homemade bumper. Its 2" standard heavy wall pipe and 1/2" steel plate. Only one collision with a deer so far but the bumper certainly took no damage. :-)
Notice the hint of a smile??)

I have a shot of the rear bumper somewhere too but will have to dig it out. I think its a little cuter, maybe.

So, where would you start first? Looking for the disconnected/broken plug/wire/module??
Pleased to meet you.
yours Scott

OK, back over to this thread for the answer
Yup, had a broken fuse link. It was kind of old and rotten. I tried to repair it with a bit of wire and a couple of cramp ons. It broke once though and I didn't trust the old rotten fusewire in my rough and tumble life.
So, I just got a new battery terminal with an attached large wire, and cut past the old terminal and fuse links, wiring direct. Big and sturdy.
I might go back in and add some fuses or fuse links in the lines again, but in the meantime I have a good connection and it runs fine.
yours Scott
