that '83 is rough..I could use the cab for a spare (I now have enough extra body parts for an extra trekker minus the cab)

Nice tow rig
It looks pretty bad in pictures, but its alot better than my cab, this one has rockers! and the floors are still 80% there lol. The front clip is gettin junked and my 79 round headlight stuff is going on. Frame has some rot, but nothing that isnt fixable.

And the tow rig has to hate me lol, i put a trans in it once..might have to do it again after this. Makes me want a Cummins with a stick even more

Took our little 2WD on a road trip last week from southern California to Leadville, CO. Some 2000 miles round trip. No issues other than running a little hot on the way back home, 115+ F through southern Utah, Vegas, and the Mojave Desert, running the A/C with the bed loaded with camping gear and a tandem mountain bike. Had to turn off the A/C for a while, though even at 11pm it was over 100 F. Don't know how people live there.

I've been on the hunt for any rears with 4.10s (either the 1/2 or the tons) for it as if I go any bigger in the lift dept. 35s would kill the tranny **again** in a heartbeat with 3.55s

I'll have more pics up on here and in my epic long saga of a build thread for my 79, once i actually have time to play with it...work and college are killin my time.

wider tires will grab more imperfections in the road/terrain and try to steer the truck. and they aren't that much better offroad, and are terrible for on road. a 35x12.5 tire is plenty wide

I just took off my 33x14x15 boggers, and they wandered like crazy. much happier with the 12.5's.
