This is my 81. Just recently sold it to start building my 4runner. Got it originally as a rusty pile to scrap off the axle but like it way too much to let it die. It took alot of work to get it as nice as it was when i sold it.

looks like he just mounted some trailer lights in some black plastic and used a trailer converter to allow the single light to work as both brake and TS.

I just did some sheet metal work and made plates that for flush over the stock holes. Used some foam tape to seal them and then used rivets to hold them semi permanent. If i was to do it again i would just weld them on and grind flush.

The lights are 40 led trailer lights. I had to use an adapter made for wiring a trailer to get them the work right since the brake and tail light is in the same light.

They are super bright in since they are only rubber mounted in the holes if anything hits them they just pop in. They dont break.

1980 4x4

I just picked this 80 model up for 500 bucks, I was told that it needed an ignitor, but I know it needs a water pump also. It has an 85 22r, 31/12.50/15 Boggers, Detroit locker in the front and is sprung over. Oh and the sweet home done cammo...lolName: Pictures169.jpg

Its called Hot rod flatz. I wanted a almost flat finish but didnt want to spring for flattener for ppg or similar paint. It cost me less than $200 for the paint online including primer and primer sealer.

The color is called Sublime green. I primed and sanded and then sealed the primer. The paint was shot on in three coats wiht a few minutes to tack in between but no sanding. I never even wetsanded it in the end. It was pretty smoot. Im sure it would have came out alot flatter if i did. I just used a farily inexpensive spray gun.

It is a legit paint job. Not roll on or rattle can. I was very satisfied with the results, color and durability of the paint. The stuff was next to imposible to scratch.
