Bought this lil '80 rig to take my (now) 75 yr old Dad camping ... All running gear, suspension (including springs), brake system is either new or rebuilt. This truck will last me the rest of my life. It is also my daily driver ....

Under the hood pics as requested. I started a build thread. 1979 rust free 4x4, Mercedes Turbo diesel, 15-18 psi boost, W56 5 spd w/twin sticks on the all gear t-case. Quick truck, summer daily driver.

My 1980 RN37, on 35" Goodyear MT/R with Kevlar, Ford 5.0 with gt40 heads, comp cam, FiTech EFI, MSD ignition, cheapo headers, 3" single exhaust through flowmaster 60 series muffler, w56 trans /95 4runner tcase, v6 rear third member, 4.56 gears, fiberglass fenders, Recaro seats, all aftermarket gauges, v6 4runner brass radiator.
Waiting for lockers to arrive, then plan to fix the rust in the bedsides, and roll on some orange Durabak bedliner (whole truck, black in the bed), and start working on bumpers and sliders, and axle trusses.

Installed the locker in my v6 rearend and did a quick $20 rattle can paint job to keep the rust at bay through the winter. I figure it looks ok for a 40 year old trail pig.

It may have netted some body lift, all the old crusty body mount rubbers were replaced with new hockey pucks, lol.
The radiator is the brass radiator from a 93ish v6 pickup, with 2 Ford Taurus electric fans mounted on a piece of sheet metal, which is bolted to the radiator.
The trans, TCase, and rear axle are all from that same truck.
