bolting a 87 tranny to a 81 22r???

if it came from a 22r it should bolt to a 22r, may need hydro lines.
Are you going to swap t-cases two, maybe a drive shaft flange issue. Get a new flange, easy fix.

it is longer (your current transmission is 20.75" long, a donor 5 speed is more than likely 25.25" long so it is just not a direct bolt in.).. plan on moving the crossmember and a shorter DS in back and Longer DS up front...

it will be both the tranny/transfer and i can get the 87 DS's and crossmember. my buddy rolled is 87 and is parting it. i know that i will still have to get the rear shortened, but will the 87 front DS work?
