84 - 81 parts
which axle is better 81 4x4 or 84 4x4
Im parting out my 84 and was thinking of rebuilding and cleaning up the axle out of the 84 and putting it under my 81 but is there really any difference beside the truss going past the ubolts or is it better in other ways... if its just the truss then I dont really need to do the swap my 81 is my DD and I havent wheeled it yet but do plan to this summer Im gonna run 30" tires and thats about it noting serious till after college and I get a taco
also I was thinking about swapping in the 5 speed from the 84 insted of my 4 speed what all needs done I know Ill need a new crosmember and shorten my rear shaft and use the 84 front shaft but what else?
or anybody have a L52

As far as I know the gussets are the only difference.
I'll be very interested to see what you find with the G52 as far as mods. I've been told all you need to do is flip the crossmember, but then I've been told you can't do that, so hopefully you can clear that one up! The only other thing I can think of is possible some floorboard cutting since the shifters may be farther back, but that and the stuff you mentioned is all stuff I heard for a w56, I'm not sure about the G52.
It looks like your package is on time for delivery tomorrow!
