83' Timing chain?

I've got an 83'P/U that I am putting a 91 truck motor in. Went to put a new timing chain on it and it's too short. I am assuming the motor must have come from an 83 84ish truck before, and has a high deck height. I got an 83' chain coming. My question is are the gears and guides from the 91' the same as an 83 or will I need a whole timing chain kit for an 83-84? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I spoke with Ted and engnbldr, and he told me there were 2 different kits, I think 95 and 96 links for different years. I don't know when the change was, but I think it was between those years

My biggest question is if If the gears are different. Bigger, smaller, more teeth or less teeth. Any clue?
