82 Pickup Passenger side window issues

Okay, so when I bought my truck, I noticed the passenger side window was a bit hard to roll up or down. The other day It "Let Go" or in other words, the window stayed up, but it "rolled down". I popped off the door panel to find the previous owner had super-glued the window into the channel. What do I need to do to fix it properly.

Thanks a ton

Rowdy: I had a set of door window guts sitting around that I knew I should have saved . Dang it..With out seeing what you are facing I am guessing that the felt material or whatever they used in the channel is worn out or maybe the whole slider/gear mechanism could be shot. I had one in my old '84 that the some of the teeth towards the end were stripped. Ended up hitting the junk yard for a slider/gear set.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The actual up/down movement is fine. The problem is how the window attaches to the channel. I think I need a new channel and the rubber strip that goes in it.

if u need the rubber strip, try looking in the junkyard for pretty much any maunal window toyota and get the rubber from that, cut it to length and that should work, i've heard of people using cut fuel line as well with great sucsess

if its the channel itself, the only way out if it's rotted it to get a new one, if its expanded to far, just pop the window out, clean the channel, put the rubber and window in and clamp it back together gently
