22r engine with weber dieseling after shutoff!

I am going nuts trying to solve this problem... when I turn the key off the truck keeps running and is embarassing as hell. It runs good, indicating to me that the carb is tuned right It makes great power all through the powerband, however the idle isn't smooth as silk. I can't detect any vaccum leaks. I havn't checked the timing yet, need to get a timing light. I have read with factory carbs that the fuel cutoff selenoid could be a cause of the problem, but I don't think the weber is set up the same way. I'm stumped where to go next, but I really would like to solve this delema? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Just a thought...I have heard that the adapter plates for the webers are known to have a "warping" problem. Does anybody think that this could be the issue? If nobody has any ideas in the next day or two, I may just pull the carb off and make some new gaskets with that "make a gasket" silicone like stuff and see if this fixes the issue. I don't know... I just really want this to go away!

idle shut-off solenoid, yours is either bad, the wire is bad to it, or you need one put in. This is probably also causing your weird idle if you have one and it's not working properly since the idle fuel jet is also contained in this housing.

When I bought my 38 it didnt have an idle-cut on it. I purchased one just cause but webers dont need it, just need more tuning of the idle circuit. Even with the idle-cut installed if my idle circuit is not tunned right it will still diesel. Just follow weber specs on the mixture screw and jetting. Even an 1/8 of a turn makes a big difference on the mix screws.

um........

they do if you buy it.

I should know, I have one and broke it 2 offroad trips ago. Engine diesels without it and I am well within weber specs as far as idle/mixture screw settings go and have my timing set at factory 0 degrees.
