20r aftermarket cams?
just wondering if any of you have had any experience with any of the after market cams, 268, 272, anything like that. what about the ebay cams?these cams are about half of a comp cam. any suggestions i drive on dirt about 90% of the time in mud/snow and no rock crawling. i have 235/85/16 tires and am looking for a power adder to be able to push them in 4wd not 4 low up hills/deep snow. what would you suggest?

20r and 22r cams are interchangeable, I run a Comp cam and coudn't be happier. Beware of no name cams sometimes they use cheap blanks to manufacture their cams. Also be aware that to get big top end power out of any r engine you will have to machine the valve stems.

Running EB's 261c Crawler cam in a .020 over rebuilt 22r. I have the rv head with oversize valves, Otherwise its bone stock. Idle's smooth as silk, pulls hard right off the bottom and screams when you ring it out.
Truck has stock gears, tires, trans, etc.
I'm very happy with the outcome but its no sbc.

Ouote. "THIS auction listing design, our 261C(Crawler) is a mild lift fast ramp longer duration profile, it has a chattery idle so everyone knows it's NOT stock, and VERY fast off-idle recovery to around 5200. It features a full powerband, and is the more "sporty" of our two popular profiles."
My head is recently rebuilt but mostley stock. Anyway just wondering what the difference is.

From engnbldr once again.
"This Hi-Torque RV camshaft profile fits ALL of the 20R, 21R, 22R, 22RE, 22REC 4 cylinder SOHC engines found in Celicas, Pickups, & 4 Runners, between 1975 & 1995"
There may be some cams that are not interchangeable, but I have not run into or heard of such.
