It does look like the wiring schematics are shortened a bit. The original hardcopy has printing right to the book's binding and are a bear to get copied.
Perhaps some of the sites mentioned below in similar threads might be clearer.

Can anyone provide me a screenshot of pages 17-28 and 17-29. These two pages seem to be missing and I wanted to see how to test the fuel sending unit. Unless I missed it somehow on the download that was provided?
